Does anyone know the dimension for needle rollers to replace the bushes in SF1-3 swingarm.
Laverdamania only lists for triples at 25X32X38mm.
Thanks
Tippie

They're available from your local bearing supplier for comparatively peanuts, you'll pay through the nose at 'certain' specialist suppliers.

Ed, I?ll buy online from UK.
There are no retail bearing shops as such here in this country. You need to try your luck at auto parts suppliers..."what is the rego number of the vehicle?". They wanted equiv $70 for a 6mm rose joint! I never realised how I was spoilt rotten in Oz!

Wise words from Dave there but beware don t go cheap with chinese crap Alan put me onto this supplier-- Helen a lovely lady at Somerset Bearings supplies www.somersetbearings.co.uk  tel01823 698293 very helpful .

By 'eck Tippie you really are being taken to the cleaners where you are, no retail bearing shops ?, you're stuck between a rock and a (very) hard place. When I replaced the s/a bearings in my then RGA Jota Sprint my local bearing shop did me a pair for ?8 ! whereas a noted Laverda dealer wanted ?16 each then, gotta shop around.
                                                      Take care Ed.

Hi Tippie

Notwithstanding Shauns advice, You'll probably find an excellent supplier online mail order is http://simplybearings.co.uk/shop/ No drama and their site is pretty comprehensive. I use them exclusively.

Rob

Just in case you haven't already sussed this, early twins had steel/rubber bushes, middle ones such as SF2 had bronze, late like SF3 had needle rollers.  If you want to replace either of the first two types with the needle rollers you will also need a pair of heavy-walled hardened steel bushes to run in the bearings, a pair of plastic washers to fit between swing arm and frame and a suitable spacer tube - these will have to come from a dealer unless you can copy some.

Cheers

Nick

they are my other choice Rob see recomendations and parts on ILOC site!

Cheers Shaun

This is great. I think it is the first tech question I have posted and plenty advice rolls in.
Simplybearings  was one of the sites I had bookmarked from searching earlier. My sons XR125 also needs S/A needle rollers so I?ll save enough to retire on!!
Nick I?ve converted a few bikes to needle rollers so am aware what I need. I?m hoping I can get an inner to suit. I want to get the bits before I start the fun job of getting out the old bushes.
Roll on summer :)
