750S engine paint

I've just stripped out and water blasted the casings from my 750S. Prior to this some of the paint was lifting, and now, obviously, more has. Overall it is not in good condition. My understanding is that there is a certain amount of porousity in the casings, and that the paint needs to be in place. Do I leave it as it is, blast and respray, or spot blast and respray? It's a ride bike, not a showpiece.

And can someone tell me what the paint code is if I need it??

Regards

Greg

Once you got your mill that clean I recommend you Base Paint her with an Epoxy Undercoat before applying your colour coat.

Zinc Chromate Epoxy for Alloy and Ferris for Iron. BASF Product extremely carcinogenic and expensive but will last you a life time.

Basically the old Imron system.

Other then for some spit and polish, Breganzie Riders don't paint their mills.

Sounds like; It'll send you to an early grave, but at least the paint will stick until you are finally dead.  That's just hillarious!

Exactly the same length of time the cancer will last. How ironic.
