And why isn't it used after all that work?

Probably sat idle for a long time…… so I’d be doing the same.
Pretty sure the engine builder is named in the blurb.
All it needs now, is a good floggin.

probably rebuilt because of the addition of SFC parts. I like it a lot and might even buy it but for the fact its too dear and shipping USA/UK plus import tax grief makes it a non starter, but why new carbs in the rebuild? they were originally 5000 mile odd used 36mm pumpers, not the addition of PHB's surely, just disable the pumps

Who built the engine

West Coast Racing Austin Texas, formerly in the Bay area of San Francisco hence the name. WCR relocated to Texas several years back, a part of the great California exodus. The 1978 1200 I now own was refreshed for the previous owner before I bought it, WCR does excellent work on Laverda working closely with Wolfgang and Red . WCR is owned and operated by a guy named Brid, a former IOM TT racer who does great resto work, you can see his work on his Facebook site.

Bike looks well sorted and built and would make a nice ride but I also wonder why a bike with such low miles would have new carbies and no sign of original things like the exhaust system. If it was a barn find it would make sense. Just curious.
