A nice patina on that bike.
The braces are neither normal nor necessary. Perhaps the owner has some fairing mount fabrication in progress.

On my own SF2 I have a Kawa Z1000 hub with a 4.25" 17" rim with a 150 tyre, the racer has some mx hub without cush and a 3.00" 18" with a 130 tyre. No Triumph bits.

No prob with Triumph bits if they fit. It was hard to get wire disc rear hubs at that time, the Kawa and a Suzuki were about it and now they are very hard to get. However the recent popularity of 2 wheel SUVs has given us a good range of strong rear hubs with cush. I am really not a fan of drums, even for the rear, so the brilliant Lav drum hub can follow the bike to whoever inherits it.
