The seller seems to have a solid sense of self. In the condition shown, more than 6k € should be req'd to make something halfway respectable out of it again (but it'll probably be more). Even if you might find someone who is willing to pay 13 - 14 k€ for a good Jota, I think the asking price for this bike in pieces shown is clearly excessive.

No connections with the seller ...

Another one where the occasional squirt of wd40 would have gone a long way. There's good bones under the extensive surface rust, though I'd be factoring in that all of the engine's steel rotating parts with bearing surfaces might be scrap. Pleanty of good parts there though.
What on earth are the three dished things next to the head and barrell? Decomposed brake disks?

I just don't understand how anyone could just let that rust happen to an expensive bike. Mine gets dirty so I wash it, it sat in my shed once for a few years but leaving it just sitting in bad weather for years. Naa

Apparently offered by a dealer, he will soon realize that his price expectations are a bit off!
Swedish paperwork doesn't help either as registering a vehicle here has become a nightmare without German paperwork.

It's not an expensive bike, it's metal and plastic that people are willing to fork out a lot of money for.

Goodness, that is sad to see. A kissing cousin to my Mk2, I’m guessing June 1981 manufacture. 8900 Euro, that’s like $14,000 Cdn, for a non rolling “rat”. This is one of those cases were a dillusional owner will not be selling their package, and persons from around the world will grin and shake their head.
Dictatorship gone wild!!!!!!!!

Jotas still seem to command or sellers.demand high prices. One just gone onto car and classic for 17500, Anthony Godin has one for nearly 17K . Nothing it would seem under 16K.

Why do you write still seem to command? It would seem to be an upwards trend, very limited to the UK though.

I just meant Paul as you say prices are rising and no indication that this will not continue. Similarly
Classic Ducatis such as even the GTS are thin on the ground and prices are very high for a good one. It is good for owners but not so good for the one bike rider who would love to experience and ride a Jota!
