The time has come when I need the space.

So,

Up for grabs, a 1999 Zane 750S, a basket case to all intents and purposes, it’s been sitting in my garage unloved for ten years or so.

if you are seriously interested in buying it, then send me a PM with your E Mail address and I will send photos of it now and as it looked when I bought it in 2010. I will also give you a brief rundown on the thing from when I bought it until now. After that it is either discuss money time, or you can ignore it. I am based in South Wales in the UK, but if you do want it, you will have to collect the thing, no delivery is available sorry.

“Seriously interested parties only please!”

So I met Spider at Baskerville and he waited patiently until I was in a position to buy it. I picked it up today and took it down to Steve Scully in Plymouth. He will reassemble it make it roadworthy and then it will be up for sale. Not looking to make money, just recoup it and get another Zane back on the road.

Thanks for taking it off my hands Scumps, I can now walk into the garage without seeing it all forlorn in the corner, unloved and unwanted. I also now have the room to start on my Mirage, things are looking up. :)

The green "bycatch" (?) on the right in the transporter looks very exciting and tempting .....

Greetings from the curious Thomas aus LAU
Hi Thomas,
The green thing is the Mirage which was the donor bike for the Harris I picked up a while ago. It along with a series 1 Jota frame and a RGS frame where shipped off to another location as I have no space. I have most of the parts to put the Mirage and Jota back together but that wont be until i retire in a few years.

Yeah well done, and after being in Steve Scully's garage it will be fully sorted.

Ah yes, you met Steve under the most unfortunate set of circumstances! He has plans. He is the workshop foreman at one of the biggest bike shops in the West country and has had a passion for Laverdas since I first met him in the early 1980's. He retires in 9 months and intends setting up his own business servicing and repairing bikes. He has his eye on some premises so fingers crossed. That has got to be good for Laverda and Ducati owners in that part of the country.

Thats great news Scrumpy, he was talking about that when I was there, so to make it happen is perfect.

Hi,

I’m in the West Country, where abouts is he? Would be handy for someone in the vicinity….
