A simple question on carburation?

I'm a bit thick when it comes to this technology.  Plug it into?  The NGK kit includes a digital instrument to display values.  Do I need more than that? I imagine that I can look at the meter fixed on the fuel tank, know when I'm at tickover and WOT, etc. and make jetting changes accordingly.
Where have I lost the plot here?

you need to drill a largish hole in your collector and weld on a threaded bung.
Then mount the wideband sensor there, mount the dash gauge somewhere else, run power to everything, fire it up
then go riding down the road stare intently at the gauge while ignoring the traffic around you  :o

the beauty of the LM2 system is that you don't have to watch anything while you are recording/riding.
by mapping the rpm and manifold vacumn in conjunction with the AFR you can tell what is happening with the throttle position and thus what the AFR reading is relating to.
it is a bit more expensive then the straight AFR gauges so will not be suitable for everyone, specially if you only have one bike to map

, I was watching intently for The Law. Didn't want to explain to a Constable Plod I would need to turn off the data recording if he wanted to talk to me!
