Additional seal required on long reserve square taps ?

Hopefully not a daft question. I recently bought a pair of the square long reserve taps from Shaun and very good quality they are. However, Im going to fit them and can’t decide if they need a an Oring or gasket/seal adding or does the nylon or whatever material the filter is act as the seal ? Anyone used these ?
 
There should be a fiber or nylon washer fitted between tank spigot and tap body, inside the LH/RH nut. 15x12x1.5 iIrc.

I need glasses to find my glasses…..

Decided my glasses arms screws could do with a nip up…. Pulled out the tiny Philips head screwdriver, took my reading glasses off to do the maintenance….. and put the screwdriver back, in frustration 🙄

Yeah - know how this feels... I have two other (older) glasses that are normally not suitable anymore. I used to put them on top of each other (looks strange, I must admit, and needs a bit of juggling abilities to not lose them, but...), so that they add up and give me enough sight to see the screws properly... Meanwhile, I bought me these glasses with lights and exchangable lenses:

takes a bit to adjust to them, but then, they work quite well for tiny screws or soldering on electronics etc.

Yes, an extra pair of glasses on top works quite well for fine work, then I can see the shaking hands dropping solder on the wrong joint 🤣
 
I use $20 pharmacy glasses for everyday, plus reading: a 2.5 and 3.5 respectively. One on top of the other gives me fab 'supersight'! Excellent for reading the vernier scale on my calipers. It certainly does look weird. Get some odd looks in the stupidmarket when I'm reading the fine print to determine ingredients on a curry paste, for eg, ... because my vego daughter doesn't want shrimp paste contaminating her tucker!
 
The strap around my neck that holds my readers on when not using them kept slipping off, so I lockwired the strap to the glasses. How do you see to drill a 1.5mm hole in the glasses' earpiece without wearing the glasses?
 
Right into my temple if it slips. Been doing a lot of lockwiring lately, handlebar grips mainly, I hate having grips slip. For some stupid reason, the Air Hawk seat pad is held on with open-ended hooks on its elastic straps, a giant pain in the arse on my last long trip. It would disconnect and slip back under the seat, requiring all the luggage to come off to refit it. By the third time, it got lockwired.
 
I found a way to hook mine at the back only by running the strap around the fwd shock mount and across the seat to the other side. Only use the one strap at the back (but the single seat with bum stop helps). You might be able to do something similar. Bugger pulling the seat off to fit the fukn thing.

I hate shopping with my vegan wife…. every fucking ingredient list is scrutinised. She reads, while I’m off doing optics in isles that have good lookers in them 😉
