Air leak

Seem to have an air leak on the right hand side as it runs lean on that side and have sprayed carb cleaner on that intake and it picks up on idle.These are 32mm phf and have nylon sleeves that go over the inlet stubs which arnt in the best off condition but have swapped these from side to side but makes no difference.Have got new rubber ones from DAM Laverda but are to to big in O/S diameter to fit in carb throat once stretched over intake stubs does anyone know where i can source a new set of these nylon sleeves to hopefully remedy the lean running. 1973 3c.

Pretty much unobtainable. When you say they aren’t in great condition, what do you mean? I thought the early triples used a different arrangement for carb mounting to the head...someone more familiar with early 3C may be along to clarify.

Hi Otis I think that there is more of a chance your problem will be in the rubber sleeves that you were talking about earlier.

Hi maurice the rubber sleeves arnt on as they are not compatable with the inside carb diameter so are still runing with the nylon sleeves on. Cheers
