airbox question

anyone know what the little tab is on the top center of this airbox? I've got two one 3C and one 3CL and one doesn't have it. Different tabs as well but no sure which is which..

I'm guessing that it's for some sort of rubber strap. If you bolt them at the top using the brackets they soon crack so maybe the intention was to have something more forgiving at that point.

My Jota was delivered with a rubber band that went around this tab and the frame. It does not have the two angled pieces that bolt onto the frame as in your picture.

If it has the 2 metal brackets at the bottom then the pressure from the airbox rubbers will keep it in place. No need for that rubber band.

As above, but I think the rubber band around the hook is required to stop the airbox falling forward if the rubbers are removed.
