Hello community,

here is a short story..
Dismantled in 1998, conversion planned. But then there were always other projects (engines, cars, mopeds and other things in between....), then the topic of Jota was tackled. Has now taken 2 or 3 years, everything rebuilt, engine new, off to the TÜV, everything registered. Now it gets registered with a plate (so that I stay tuned, because it costs money) and then disassembled again for painting. I wanted to have everything ready before painting, so that I don't have to sand and paint anything again afterwards....
So it took me a narrow 26 years, it's still not finished, but at least the part is running and moving now... thumbup
Thank's to Piet and Wolfgang Härter for Parts and Support!!!

It's looking great, I like the 180s in SFC look. The outrigger wheels should make sure you don't fall over when you stop but mat impede cornering lean angles!

Hi Harald.

Super racer 👍👍 mine is for sale: 👍

Where did you source your spoked wheels from?

Harald, great result! Do like the Weber carbs.

Gerald
Hello Gerald,
thank you! But the Carbs are Dual Dellorto DHLA 40. One is cut off to get 1 Carb. That's made by my Friend Stefan Wirth in the late 80'.

I wonder Where have I seen 2/3rds of that carb setup? It's clever engineering to fit that on a triple, there on my Altas but only 1 dual throat. Years ago they sold kits that fitted 2 of those dual carbs to fit Honda 4s. BTW those yellow plastic caps that cover both idle and main jets on the carb top are made of alloy on my Atlas carb.

It looks like a lot of effort has gone into that carburettor conversion. What advantages does it offer? Most induction upgrades seem to stick with slide carbs, unless you're dedicated enough to go for EFI.

Hello,
I don't know if there is any advantage. I think my Friend made it only to take a look at what is possible. 😉
And it looks very nice. And it works also very nice!
