Working on on the 500 Alpino today removed the clutch casing and noticed the end of the pawl spring on the gear change had broken off. The design is a rotational spring - which appears to break readily looking at some posts from - well way back in 2022, as there were a couple of pics showing the same breakage....... looks like it could be easily replaced with a tension spring from a simple bracket located to the bearing retainer hex head screw. The 750's as I recall had a tension spring for this duty which is probably more sensible!
