Alternate Front End

I've been off the radar for a while, all work related and the race bikes have been well neglected, just lucky there is no racing until September.

However, the lull in racing has given us a chance to focus on some of our other projects which are on the drawing board. We've probably got too many including the sidecar, a new front end and a completely new design for a single track solo machine.

Anyway most are long term projects but we wanted to do something sooner rather than later, so early this year we agreed to focus on building a leading link front end we could bolt on to any existing bikes triple clamps. This is not the completely new front-end on the drawing board just an interim step using existing designs.

If your interested we'll be following the development on the OZLAVERDA site.

The only solo bike, I've ridden with a leading link front end was a Honda 70. And I thought that's where they should have been left, unless there is a chair hanging off the side of the bike.

In fear of being totally contradicted by the outcome, I'll leave my judgements until I see the final results.

Looks horny though, good luck.

Crispin takes clutch lightening to a new level!  :D :D :D

Keep up the good work, it will be interesting to see how the bike handles on track. I assume it is track-bound?

Yes I thought the guys on the Lightened Clutch thread were just pussy footing around, too much damn reciprocating weight to worry about  :D

It will be interesting to see how the bike handles but in reality the front-end will end up being tested on the Spaceframe. I doubt the Egli will be raced it's just a real awkward frame to deal with and has little frame strength around the rear pivot point. It's another problem that needs a serious engineering fix!
