My 3 pics, 1st is the Guzzi MSO1. 2nd any SFC twin. 3rd Ducati Super Mono.
I heard rumors that a few MSO1s were converted to be road-legal with one owned by the sadly departed Heicoper Jim. He had great taste in bikes.

For me it's:

1) 1972 HD XR750. Coolest bike ever. I got to tune one, and test ride it 1980 when working as a HD mechanic. Yikes!!
2) Any Laverda twin before the mag wheels were introduced.
3) Would like to say Britten, but not exactly beautiful to my eye, but a really neat bike with an engaging story. It's another naked bike for me: Burgundy & black Ducati 750GT
 
I must admit being a fan of Lucifers Hammer, that Battle of the Twins Harley that was Orange on one side and black on the other. I like oddball bikes out of the norm as well.

Here it was called Luzifers Hammer 😄, I liked it very much.
But the No. 1 Bike for me is the Britten.
I always had this picture in my office to remind me and my colleagues that enthusiasm can generate special results and development.IMG_0273.jpeg

That poster sold too well. Ex staff i know well all look at it and moan - But that exhaust system didn't work. The one that did isn't as photogenic.
 
Greg, it is not the exhaust which makes the bike No. 1, it is the bike in general and the the power of on man who made it sucessful, and I am luky that I could meet him….

That is a very strange article: four pictures of the front wheel and two of the right side with someone on it leaning away from the camera. And the story is about how beautiful it looks!

Shame I didn’t know that before. I had one of four artist’s proofs of the racing winning bike, but sold it for a pittance at auction to raise funds for the TTRA. I would have been happy to give you it when you bought the Atlas. 😕

I'm with you, Alzero. The main thing that puzzled me was the writer raving about coming up the inside of a 4-cylinder Japanese bike and smoking it, in fact smoking just about anything on the track ... and then suddenly there's a paragraph about a horrendously handling bike that falls into corners, shakes its head, wobbles and vibrates!! I thought it must have been about some other bike - he explains that it was just a poorly set up rear end, but from that point on the article didn't make a lot of sense to me.

And ditto the lack of pics - raving about how beautiful it was but no photos where we could actually admire it. Very weird.

One of the three works bikes. They have the engine breather i showed John, Customer ones have a big PCV valve which doesn't work as well.
About the only visual clue on the bikes other than looking at numbers. And a couple of sets of cases have been replaced too.

AndreG So you met Rob Selby. The man who made the power which made the Britten successful. Very good. He doesn't get enough credit.
