Yesterday I was at the start of the 37th Austrian Tourist Trophy for classic motorcycles. You have to circle a road course of 21,7 km three times in a row as evenly as possible. The surprise: I not only became class winner but also overall winner with my LAVERDA 750 SF. I was very, very pleased! Ciao, Gert

Well done Gert.
The only regularity trial I rode in was part of the VMCC IOM Rally in 2013, the year Laverda Corse visited the Classic TT/MGP. The trial was three laps of the original St John’s TT Course. However, my result was at the opposite end to yours as a result of doing one very slow lap, escorting Piero and Fernando around the first lap, and then two some what quicker laps on my own. I still enjoyed it though, even if I didn’t win a nice big, shiny trophy like yours.

I’m thinking, if you did a time trial then flat out should see almost identical coarse times. Unless you overcook a corner and end up off the track, then you’re fucked fucked.
