Annoying resonance noise

Disclaimer, this question is not about my Jota but about my 2018 Thrimph Tiger 800 XCX triple. I'm asking here because I appreciate the significant collective experience on this forum. At only one condition: 65km/hr, in 6th gear and typical forward load, I have an annoying whining noise resonance. Clutch in and it goes away. Load off the throttle and it goae away. Not present at any other gear and/or speed. Could this be a bearing in the gear box, a worn gear on the shaft, or something else? Or is it just a characteristic of some engines? Has anyone experienced this, albeit in a different model?
Any ideas welcome. Thanks.

Hi Chuck.
I had a similar experience when riding a Triumph Tiger xcx around Europe in 2015. At 65kmh I would use 4th or 5th gear and the problem was nor their.
Not saying you don't have a problem with something else, just letting you know my experience.
Cheers Chris

Thanks Chris, coincidently that is also what I have resorted to. I use 5th at that speed (and decent ear plugs). But it's encouraging to know another Tiger XCX did the same thing, maybe it's just a characteristics of that gearbox.

Hi
I have a Yamaha SRX 600 that gave a whining noice in fifth gear only. Turned out to be the gear in the box. And also a common problem with those motors I learned and the remedy was to replace with a new gear unfortunately. If this is a similar problem with triumph (which I don’t hope) there should be related information on those kind of discussion groups. 🤞

You would think but there was not much response on the Tiger forum.
And I thought the cumulative mechanical experience was greater with the Laverda die-hards!
