(Another) 3C frame question

The centre stand stop has broken off my frame (see picture), could some one tell me the diameter and length of this so I can weld on another. Also, should there be a piece of rubber that slides over the stop. Thanks

The stop has a diameter of 10mm and is about 25-30mm long.  Slipping a piece of oil hose over it completes the picture.

Fitting a big-bore collector often prevents the stand from resting against this stop, you might consider doing a dry build to get it right without mucking around with your freshly painted frame later on.

My centre stand had provision for a 2nd spring but my frame didn't,so I added one.Not 100% necessary but it helps me sleep at night.

Vince as before I use Irish Wiskey to help me sleep at night, not sure if a second spring would have the same effect.
Also what is the make of your MP3 player please as will check the wiring so can solder up your charger.

Ah, that's probably why my stand stops on the collector rather that the rubber. I wondered why that was.

I chopped the plain shank out of a 10mm bolt and welded that in to replace mine. Waste of time as the centre stand rests either on the big bore collector (and always has from new as can be seen from the attached photo) or on the new sidestand bracket when fitted.

Yep, a rubber is often needed on the stop, I used a synthetic wine bottle cork, with a hole drilled up the middle

I have seen car exhaust mounts used as the can be larger and stop the stand dinging the collector box yet not leaving the stand looking like it would scrape at the first opportunity.
