Anyone have a Sachse system handy to measure the stand-offs?

Hi All,

My lovely RGS has never run right in the years I've had it. I finely got sick of coxing the clapped-out Bosch ignition to barely work and bought a Schse Z06 system for the bike.

It took almost a month to get from Germany to The States and then another 2 weeks before I got the bike on the rack, opened up and ready to install it. Only THEN did I open the Schse box to find that they shorted me a few critical pieces.

The seller, Stein und Dinse reacted quickly but found that the same parts were missing in the kits they have on the shelf. Then they called Elektronik Sachse only to find that they're closed through July 19. Add another few weeks for transport again and the bike is down for AT LEAST another 6 weeks. Sheesh!

So... I need the dimensions of the 3 offsets that sit on the 5mm studs to support the pick-up plate. I'm *guessing they're about 6-8mm tall but trial and error, without machine tools will be a pain in the &*(. Does anyone happen to have a kit handy from which you could measure the lenght of the 5mm studs and the dimensions of the spacers that go over the studs?

Sorry about the summer weather comment. Home-town bias made me forget the "other" hemisphere.
 
Grub screws are M5 x 25mm long
They are locked in place by a M5 x 6mm long nut as shown here

Interesting, thanks for stepping in. Mine's about 7 years old now, obviously an older design.
Sorry I gave you a bum-steer GTCarlos, but I'm sure you can use Red's info with confidence ;)
 
Andy, is your magnetic rotor just a flat disk?
That may be where the difference is, mine have a hub on them to make it easier to install the rotor

By using the hub design I needed to move the board back

Yieks, now I'm confused. The rotor I got (in June '24) from Sachse is the type that Andy pictured, NOT the multi-grub-screw type that redax5 posted. I got some long joiner nuts today from the hardware. Guess I'll test-fit things to see if cutting them to 11mm or 6mm looks right.

I'll let you know what I find.

Hi All,

I haven't put the ignition system in yet but I have gotten the bike open. Now that I see how the Sachse system sits, I see the spacing question is obvious and easy.

Thanks for your help and pics too! I'll report back when the bike is back on the road.
