that looks like the wrong brake lever on the right bike... 750 Lever on a 1000cc bike.

Yep! But it looks prettier ;o)

What are you pulling off - The Rubber on the Peg or that Good looking Brake Lever.

Looks all wrong to me.  The end of the lever would be too high to use comfortably, and there would be minimal travel as the footpeg would get in the way.  BTW, it's not being used as a gear lever- the bosses for the crossover are attached to the back of the engine.

let me rephrase... anyone ever put a 750 brake lever on a 1000??
Some cutting, welding, bending in order for sure.
Just curious if it had been done before, either way going to give it a go.

No but I pulled off an upside down Yamaha 550 shifter lever, fabricated bell crank and used some Honda parts (eg: The rod is a Honda Jug Stud) for a left side Brake Rear Set on a 750.

Here's my right Side Rear Set Shifter - Consists of a reversed left side Morini Heel-Toe, Hayabasa Bell Crank, a 12 Gauge Shot Gun cleaning rod and has spring loaded dampening within the Peg:

Shortened SFC Shifter Lever and Peg Bolts are Ford V6 Head Bolts - No welding - The parts just bolted together with a little persuasion.

There is no way, with my 35" legs, could I use the SFC Rear Set location. 5'11" and weigh 140lbs, call me Spider.

'86 gsxr750 brake lever?
I think your right. All I know is when I saw it, I knew it belonged mounted upside down on the other side of a Laverda - LOL

Wolfgang said to me that my Rear Sets and Carrier designs may have a market for the 750's but what the hell - We do what we do. One thing I believe in when fabricating for your needs "Keep it Simple" and you usually end up with nothing better and it looks good, just as Scuds brake lever looks great & practicable to me.

The secret in my 750 Rear Set Brake, to make it stable, is a  1 1/4" Manganese marine bushing I found which I mounted through the exhaust hanger tab (You could make it out of a Brass Plumbers Fitting but Manganese is harder). Note: I run 2 into 1 pipes on the other side and had no use for that tab. I modified a bolt to replace the original Laverda through Frame Brake Bell Crank which the original long lever bolted to; and -  Wholla! - Didn't have to do a thing with the Rear Brake cable.

Believe me when I say my Rear Sets are Strong, Feel Great and I've been using them for 5 years with no issues other then polishing and oiling.
