Looking for a photo this afternoon, I came across this one from the excellent blog Moto Collection by François-Marie Dumas.
François-Marie was a journalist with the French bike magazines. He fell with a 1200 Laverda whilst testing it, when the front mudguard became stack in the exhaust.

Marnix will remember this photo.
1997, Coupes Moto Légende on the Monthléry banked oval. Zane era. A dealer from near Paris got the V6 over to promote the Zane wares.
Brettoni seated on the bike, next to him, Nicola Bevilacqua, energetic Belgian Laverda importer from Mons. Behind, it would appear to be a younger Cor Dees.
There was a horrific party on our Amicale 750 Laverda stand that evening with loads of alcohol and plenty of Merguez, spicy North African sausage, splattered all over the place. Michel Cottereau, classic bike journalist who would go on to do a nice article for Moto Légende with 3 of our SFCs never got over it.
The V6 was started up and revved very late in the evening by anonymous people who shall remain so whilst the Italians were safely at their hotel.

Remember it oh so well. An old door acted as dinner table, your son Matthew enthusiastically cremated the Merguez. The screaming V6 around midnight was hilarious. Was my first time at Monthlhéry with the SFC. On the way home, Cor came up with this crazy plan.. to build his own V6. The rest is history..
