Whilst desperately looking for photos of the innards of my SFC for a prospective buyer, I came across this.
Massimo serving drinks at his chalet in Lavarone where we were invited for a lovely BBQ.
A memorable rally organised by us, the Amicale 750 Laverda, with what was then the Moto Club Breganze in July 2000.
Happy times.

Whilst doing some more browsing through CDs from pre divorce days, I came across this photo.
When Phil Todd lived in Whyteleafe, South London, I'd pop over regularly for parts and had Phil do a few cranks.
It was a leisurely trip. One hour by car to the ferry in Calais, and then another hour from Dover to Phil's. It was also the time when you could cross the Channel for a few euro with a car on a day trip, before the ferry companies were sold off and the private sector got their teeth into the business.

Phil did a couple of lightened cranks for me including one for a race bike I built for a friend. Lightened webs, the inner ones being triple webs with an SFC centre part, shot peened rods on this one and titanium spacers. I think that this one was actually done when Phil shortly passed on his crank work to Stuart Clarke, but Phil checked it out.

I’d say the next CD was: Marc Ferrari’s Crankshaft

C/O latest Classic Bike .........

Motor Cycles road test Slater Jota ....... the one raced by Pete Davies ........ No details remain of MFO 307P on the DVLA website ........

According to John Nutting they " smuggled " Roger Slater into MIRA who was armed with various sprockets and spare clutch plates ..... JN had a reputation for frying clutch plates off the line , so Slater came well prepared .......

MFO arrived at MIRA fitted with an optional 38 rear sprocket ..... presumably with the aim of achieving Z1 demolishing top speed runs ...... but this didn`t allow the triple to rev out , giving a miserable top speed of only 133 mph .

So in went the 40 rear sprocket , which allowed the Jota to rev to just over 8000 rpm , for a one way best of 140.04 mph .......

MFO was fitted with the c/r `box , which whilst not affecting overall gearing in fifth gear , may have given the Jota the opportunity to reach it`s top speed more effectively in the intermediate gears , within the confines of the MIRA timing straight .

Form filled out by Bob Currie ........ not all that clear in this repo .......... He notes weather as being " nice" ....... and riders clothing as being " yes " .......

No Rollie Free type antics here , then ..........

More on the Palmelli 878 ..........

" they buy FireBlades and 916`s and frighten themselves silly .... " says Steve ...........

I would say you can quite easily frighten yourself silly on almost any bike really , as long as you go about it the right way ..........

Here we go with some more .........

More investment opportunities than you can shake a stick at ......... ( maybe ) ........... If you`re prepared to wait that long ..........

Trouble is , if you wish to make money , then you need to have money in the first place .........
