Are Bunnings taking over the world?

Found some time to work on the 6 plug racer, needed some p clips to hold the starter wiring in place. Went to super cheap- closed. Repco open but useless. Went to Bunnings on the off chance, there is a whole isle full of automotive stuff!!! What can?t you buy there?

One small packet with five clips cost four dollars, I paid with my card so I didn?t touch anything. I think businesses that are cash only are going to be a thing of the past

I hope you bought more than you need... so you can replace the ones that break  ::)

I had a mate who was in the checkout line at Bunnings, guy in front had an electric planner he was returning.
My mate says, "that looks brand new buddy?"
The guy in front replies "I didnt even get out the door!, the
Bunnings employee at the door told me "thats a piece of rubbish mate, take it back and buy a better one, stop wasting your time!"
Thats Bunnings, made in China taken to a whole new level.
Congratulations to you but Marty, you found something useful there, well done.
And the answer to your question is Yes.

Bought a twisted wire wheel
To go on my strimmer - didn?t want it to come from China as I have dealt with their universal fit before and they gave created a bit of world mayhem  - found an eBay entry not Chinese and paid a bit more for it - guess what it?s Chinese and doesn?t fit ! Taking over !

We've let them take over production of virtually everything. Even the Covid test kits they sold to Spain don't work.
Some Chinese things I've bought have been reasonable though and the laptop I am on is pretty good.

I still cant help wondering what the hell we picked up there in the summer. I reckon it would have killed a frail person, well frailer than me anyway.

I know, whose to say wasn"t out there earlier,if it hits the news it is usually after the fact,or maybe another covid strain .

LJ; "That was an awful bug Pat, Maurice and Charles seemed to have got it too.Never been so unwell!"

CK: Maurice and I were in a BFN city in Holland, every time we pulled up at a set of lights, with Maurice behind me, I could hear him barking.

Then at Felixstowe, I had to go to a laundromat, to wash, but more importantly, dry everything I had after 3 days of riding through the rain.

M was laying between our two bikes, crook as, so I took out my sleeping bag to give to M as a pillow. A couple I was chatting to in the laundromat asked if he was okay.

I said ?his chest was moving up and down, so presumed he was still alive? :D

I had the same bug, when I was in France and Spain

That sounds pretty bloody awful. And the strange thing about COVID is that some get very mild or no symptoms, others die. How many of your group DIDN"T get that flu you're talking about?

Special instruments, eBay Chinese gps speedo rev counter with no red line😜

I was checking out a Chinese GPS speedo on fleeBay recently and wondered whether it was worth a crack ... no speedo drive on my custom front hub and don't want to fork out the big $$$ from Speed Hut stuff from the US. So I'd be interested to hear your feedback, Marty. How much was it? Does it come with some sort of antenna or converter box? How does it transfer from digi signal to analogue needle?

Didn't Bunnings open a store in the UK only to close several months later at a great loss??
The original Bunnings were timber millers from Manjimup, 120kays north of me. They raped the southern forrest from the beginning of the 1900s up till the 80s without putting fuck all back in. Got into hardware and were aquired by Westfarmers and now they're a monopoly not only in hardware but everything else.
When I started building my house I went out of my way not to use them but for many things the convience is hard to boycot.

Re, BFN, how come you can be in BFN in ther middle of Holland?? To me BFN is out the back behind the black stump or in some little 2 bit town in the middle of fucking nowhere, bit like where I live!! :D
