Argy progress part II

Haven't had time to take it for a run!! The need to earn money seems to ruin ones life totally...... >:( >:(

Can't see a window of opportunity to get it over to Reds before he goes either. Sheesh, lifes busy!

Weak as piss excuse. Get out after work. Doesn't matter if it's midnight so long as the headlight works.
Just take it around the block and give it a fistful of throttle through the rev range. Give your neighbours a thrill (or a fright)  :D

Cheers,
Cam

I'm assuming Drikko knows the road around his own neighbourhood well enough to do it blindfolded. So any light from the headlight is a bonus, while lack of it isn't a game stopper.  ;)

Drikko. We're all hanging out for your report on performance "senza filtro". Don't keep us in suspenders.

Cheers,
Cam

Well Cam have you ever seen an RGS headlight not much brighter than the blinkers!!!!
M. :o :o

Too true.
When Kenny McNicol came up to my joint last year, I was waiting outside our place to show him the way in and I must admit the RGS's headlight had less power than my torch. Frightening, but Ken was having a ball.

I put one of the bright white philips bulbs in and it's not too bad, going to do the relay thing and add a HID driving light. Should be pretty good then.

It's true, I was having a great time, although -5C wasn't exactly fun (in Queensland? even the locals were complaining). And hoppies on the Mt Lindesay Highway at 130 kph really let you know you're alive, especially when you can't see them unless there's a Toyota coming the other way ...

The relay alone will give you at least twice as much light as with the standard wiring...  ;)

A lot of people wonder about that. It snows here every odd year as well, lightly I might add. They have had the occasional dump every couple of decades where the whole district is covered. During an average winter it's sub zero every night through June and July. Best weather in Australia up here.

Drikko,

How did friday go at Red's? Any change? Does it chuck wheelies yet?

Speaking of wheelies, mine stalled at a set of lights the other day with lots of cars around and a started it up and took off quite a bit harder than I normaly do and buggar me if it didnt carry the front a couple of inchs till the next gear change, really suprised me,still makes me smile.Maybe I should get that 2 teeth smaller rear sproket to compinsate for the low profile rear tyre sooner rather than later

Work turned on it's head on Friday, just didn't have time to get there dammit :( :( Hopefully Red got message to that effect. After playing sports taxi Saturday and sunday (today) morning, I got stuck into it. Put the new air filter in from Wolfgang, fired it up and wow it settled into a lovely idle. Warmed it up a bit. and it sounded great. Unfortunately I couldn't take it for a ride as all the brats were here. So I did the relay thing with the headlights:-

I have another set of relays and stuff if anyone else if wants me to do the same. I also added the Hella FF75 driving light converted to HID with the electronics inside the fairing:-

The driving light, far enough back that you can still get the fairing screw out:-

BTW I rolled the Lav out into the street to see what the lights were like. Holy fak that FF75 with HID is like a sun! Sorry couldn't take it for a ride as I've had few beers!! Good mate of mine from the BM club dropped over, blew his eardrums out. I couldn't get him off it!! I think it was an 8 second conversion to Laverdianity..
