I used Lucas Assembly Grease on my head rebuild. I was told it can solidify over time afterward. I Googled & says it should be good for 6 months in a protected environment. I also used it on the Rocker Spindles before tapping them in. Will it clog the small port holes or seize bearings? I don't plan to finish the engine until September... Should I put it in the oven once a month? Or just take out the Spindles again?

Lucas assembly lube I use is pretty runny, more like the consistency of treacle rather than grease. Is that what you are using?

When you start it, with the tappet covers off, you will soon see if the oil is coming through
