Latest info I`ve read is that Dave Hancock ... ( presumably the ex Honda test and development rider ) ... says the genuine Freddie Spencer 1984 NSR500`s are in Honda`s museum in Japan ...... and that Elf had to give all the Ron Haslam engines back to Honda , so the Elf bike shown is almost certainly just an empty shell , or something put together for display purposes ..........

The motorcycles are being given out to Canadians, Laverda owners have first dibs. They penalty for Wedding in Canada is one day, to be served outdoors. It's currently -36 c with windchill -40 c where I am. So basically a (very short) life sentence.

Lee's kids just flew back from here to Norway - similar story!! 45 forecast for Melbourne tomorrow. And already fires beyond containment lines. Spare a thought for the vollies and others who'll be out there trying to keep some semblance of control. Lav Club Curdie Vale run early Feb might look a tad different from last year's!
