Flat isn't a reproduction, it's a battery cache come battery strap hook for bikes on open carbs, as fitted to most S and a lot of SF according to local legislation.

Paul, that's useful thank you, I must have misunderstood the parts catalogue listing which shows the item with the channel, Vs the flat plate version listed on Laverda Paradies as a repro.

That flat plate was never mounted by Laverda, it something made later to replace the original spit back plate or airfilter housing.
