battery size

i need some help with the size of the battery that i can get away with , am hoping someone can tell me what is the smallest size cca that will start a 1200 thanks stuart

If the bike is a good starter and the starter motor is in top condition, you may get away with a 14Ah battery.  But, if something doesn't go to plan, you only have juice for a couple attempts.  19Ah, as used in most modern Beemers, is plenty to get you going reliably.
