There may be somewhere to post this, but I can't find it.
My good friend Eric who sometimes comes by on this forum sent me these pics today. All my photos were lost in a divorce, though I probably would have lost them anyway.
They were taken at the Coupes Moto Légende on the Monthléry banked oval in 94. The second or the third year it was organised.
First photo is a stand we did with Jean-Claudes 70 SF come down from Belgium. The bike is still going strong as is Jean-Claude who aged 70 rode back from Austria to the Belgian Ardennes in one go on the bike after the Breganze meeting in 2019 when he heard his father was unwell.
Second photo is me about to go out on a track for the first time in my life on my SFC I'd only had for a year. I was booked in the exceptional bikes series. There were 6 of us. The Godier Genoud Kawasaki was an ex Bol d'Or winner. There was an ex works Velocette single and the Benelli/Motobécane/Moch ex Bol d'Or 6 cylinder. Every body rode above me on the banking.
There is also the spine frame racer of my friend Zabiolle. I forget where the frame comes from. Marnix will know.
Lastly, the first Egli Laverda. Engine is an S. The man behind it had this engine in a Featherbed frame and wanted something different. So he set off from South West France to go and see the Rickman brothers. On the way, he had a change of heart and went East to see Egli were he spent some months, camping in Eglis garden until the bike was built. It's a beautiful machine. Probably still in France. The owner wasn't the selling type.
