It actually did, if done right... Stöggi has a 1200 with a primary belt. Belt is on the bike since more than 10 years and I think even more than 35.000km meanwhile. Have ridden the bike myself, it was running VERY smooth!that didnt work for the primary drive, so lets see if it wont work for the final drive.

Andy failed to install it correctly (which he never believed, but which is obvious if you see the parts that he returned...). I know which set he tested, it is the same that is running in Michaels 1200 as far as I know with the above mentioned positive results. Michael did just not go on with the project as there was to little demand.Lyte drive (as a company) failed badly where Laverda were concerned,
Andy Wag tried two different coloured belts long term and they both failed short term.
There are others with similar stories.

Agree. Perfectly aligned on the race bike here and still failed very quickly. I suspect there's an upper HP or torque limit beyond which they should be another 15mm wider.Lyte drive (as a company) failed badly where Laverda were concerned,
