The results of my soda blasting exercise. Used about 20kg to do the cases and barrels. The head had been bead blasted when I had the top end frestened up and ceramic coating applied so didn't have to bother with it.
It's pretty damn messy job, place looked like a northern hem winter!! Hoses down to leave no trace.

Nice job Rob

My soda blasting rig kept clogging when I did a set of carb bodies a while ago. It did a good job in the end but was a pain to keep unclogging the jet. What sort of nozzle/suction system did you use?

Cheers,
Cam

Hey Cam, I brought a cheap sand blasting gun from Super Cheap for less than $40. I had some clogging towards the end cause my compressor hadn't been drained for some time and water got into the air line. 25kg bags of bi-carb cost $30, I brought 50kg and used about 20. Took me the best part of a day to do it.

Hi Robb nice looking job.. say the cork's especially the one in the dipstick hole brings back memories of the ride back to London from the Laverda Intergrally in Breganze... via rural France on my 500.. The dipstick somehow went missing and my left leg got covered in oil... stopped by some French bike repairer and we ended up fashioning a plug out of a cork... threw some oil in the thing.. guestimate.. jammed in the cork and road back to London... it stayed in a week longer or so till I got a new dipstick.. never worked out what happened to the original.. though...

Works a treat eh Rob, gotta be pleased with the result, and you saved heaps.

Great on carbs too, no, not pasta.
I did my 36mm delorts, like new, even gets the shit out from places you couldn't do any other way.

But, you really need a beer or six afterwards to wash out the taste.
(What a great excuse)
