bitsa At Mathewsons? 750 SF

my memory is going but was this not the one that had frame cutting to remove the battery and was rejected/returned by a retail buyer somewhere? of (maybe) ten years ago?

Look at the frame tube close to the battery on right hand side., I cant quite see if the carbs are VHB or PHF but the brakes give it away as an SF1 which should have PHF's, and the big valve head, if they are VHB then likely the head is small valve. the brakes and clocks are right for SF1, it may have potential, but by golly it would have to be cheap, I quite like the period look race tank, but the seat is absolutely awfull.

That looks like it has a Dave Degens Dresda seat and tail unit from the early 80s..

Definitely a big valve head (port angle virtually aligned to head fins - steeper inlet angle) so pretty sure they are PHFs. I see long tanks and from experience just think REALLY uncomfortable. Anyone else wonder about that rear brake cable under full suspension compression?

The prehistoric Ceriani shocks will prevent swing arm movement so it shouldn't be a problem. The seat unit could be shortened heaps. It is a styling exercise.

I kind of like the all red look but see lots of orange peel paint and the seat is definitely a period piece and wonder why the battery was spun around.
