Bleedin' Qld Copperrrss..!!

Funny how the misfits are actually incorporated in qld as a social club

WTF would the coppers have to say about that

I might have to organise a lunch meeting at Nandos and give old Cyclone, more like willy willy, his new line of defence

That was however uncalled for, FFS 6 cop cars?

Like I said months ago, that's six less looking for me

Police used to be respected upstanding members of the comunity, now days they are mostly a bunch of egotistical fuckers, not suprising really
This has never been the case in Australia. There has been a lot of research into why and it is considered to be because we were a penal colony at the outset and the attitudes both within the police and the public carry on from then. The authorities were as bad as the prisoners and it has always been "us and them". It is the biggest challenge for policing in Australia.
I had a discussion with a member of the PR branch of Qld police (!!!!) who also mentioned this. It was post Fitzgerald times when there was a big push to fix things. I bet that branch no longer exists.
When we have a bad encounter with any member of an identifiable group, be it bikies, punks, blacks, police or whatever, it affects how we see the entire group. Unfortunately it is the prick of a cop that we are most likely to come in contact with. There a lot of police on the other side of the coin.

What a load of shit, so what your saying is that our thought patterns are based on the criminals thought patterns because Australia was settled by criminals? I know plenty of black fellas that dislike cops, I know plenty of non criminal immigrants that dislike cops. The reason that nobody likes them is that they are dehumanised, its part of theyre training, most people expect to be treated as equal, police aren't trained to treat people equally, how do you react if someone starts talking to you like shit?

Just because they are given the highest level of authority above everyone else does not give them the right to intimidate people, some of them seem to forget that people have rights and that some people know what they are, yes they are a minority, If I get pulled over im polite and nice whilst being assertive, somewhere inside they are human

A good article pointing out some reason why this is just a political grandstanding which the cops don't like and are even stopping to enforce it as much as can't do campbell would like. http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/queensland/the-end-justifies-the-means-why-queensland-is-losing-the-bikie-war-20140120-313dc.html

spot on cosi
and simple good manners go a long way, too, they have a kind of 'correct' behaviour with an 'in your face' attitude that demands submission, certain to rub most people up the wrong way.
it looks to me like they have done what might be called 'confrontational training' pretty important for the fuzz since every time they stop someone, it is confrontational, but whoever trained them, didn't have a clue as to what to teach them and was maybe a former member of the stasi

they seemed to have fun back in the day...
