What time is the 'blood moon' lunar eclipse tonight?
A total lunar eclipse, also known as a "blood moon", will be visible across all of Australia in the wee hours of Monday. Here's what you need to know to get the best view and snap the best photo.
Go out for Unique Red Marrow soup! It’s supposed to be visible here in Singapore, but it’s pissing down rain….
Yeh that blood moon wasn't particularly red. Back in May 2021 I took some pics of the blood moon then as it passed into the shadow. It was also a supermoon so a bit closer and did look a bit more spectacular. I've attached a pic which hopefully shows a bit better the eclipse at that time and I think is not too bad for a backyard pic:-I started watching at 230am and lasted till 330, it took an hour to fully cover the moon in shadow. At the start, the moon was so bright it hurt my eyes to stare at it, and it was pretty impressive watching it happen. The actual colour wasn't that impressive, more Baby poo brown. It was worth the trouble. I had one even more spectacular celestial view a couple of times, though. Twice, I have noticed a really bright light in the low western early night sky. It was so bright it caught my attention. At first I thought Plane or Helo, but it didnt move. Even Stalights tend to move . I watched for a good 30 minutes and then Googled it. It turned out to be Veius. When it's closest to Earth in its orbit, it's incredibly bright.

Boy, that moon must have really pissed her off at some stage - great picture of the rotten bastard though!PS - don't blame me, the Mrs is mad on the moon so I always have to "go and have a look".................
