It's an impressive build on the back of some diligent research. As a modern GS rider I'm very envious of the weight saving!!That's my bike/group. Hope you like the project.

Interesting to reflect on BMW's development direction compared to Moto Laverda thinking back then

I take that as a compliment! Chott 2TR was a great regolarita... but BMW needed Laverda to build an enduro.Looks like a pregnant Chot to me
Cheers SteveHi Gian-Paolo Shropshire ? Do we know each other ? Seen the bike on the ramp at Malcolm’s. It’s looking good.
Steve.
BMW were in a financial hole and G/S was the last roll of the dice. G/S was heavy and unwieldy but it was the quickest and cheapest way to satisfy the demands of the US importer. Fortunately for BMW it turned out that off-road looks rather than performance was key. Laverda were in similar financial straits but its ethos less compromising. It's an impressive build on the back of some diligent research. As a modern GS rider I'm very envious of the weight saving!!
