Bonding Brake shoes

Can't source replacement brake shoes for my front Grimeca drum brake according to Wolfgang. I have a
correct lining that has become unbonded and would like to re-glue it. Probably a lost art these days but
any advice on correct glues and clamping techniques. Haven't approached the vintage car guys yet but I
like to deal with my own.
 
Don't do it yourself. By the time you have purchased the glue and made the fixtures, you will have spent more money than paying someone else to do it.

It requires a special glue for brakes and the shoes need to go in to an oven to cure the glue. You also need a fixture to hold the linings very tight to the shoe.

The Grimeca brakes on my 750 GT had new linings put on by a place near me that does big truck brakes.

Another option is Vintage Brake in California. He specializes in drum brakes and does good work.

 
No way i would be playing with gluing linings onto drum brake shoes - any more than I'd try and make my own disc brake pads. Too much at risk to warrant omitting professionals from the job.
