I guess it's like a lot of Italian bikes Maurice. I think some Ducatis were a bit unpredictable around that period too. I dunno if there was even a cut-off at a certain bike number for Laverda's drum-disk change either. I'd have a look in Ian Falloon's book, but my cat is busy guarding it.
