Borrani rims.

I know this has been talked about before, is the 4445 rim for the Grimeca 200 because it is wider than the 4613 etc. I need rims for my Indian Velo project, unfortunately there doesn't appear to be any info on the actual rims I need other than the name Borrani. I am trying to understand the numbers not the quality of copies etc. thanks
 
Is 4445 for the 200mm Grimeca?

I'm not certain that the number relates to the width since the width is stamped on the rim along side the number. More to do with profile, number of spokes, angle of drillings.

Absolutely, all those things, and width too. It was an internal code for Borrani. No-one other than Borrani themselves knew what it stood for.

I am getting round this now, but have a Motor morini rim that is stamped as Record, my wheel builder has told me I need to make sure the drilled angle is correct, as your info has said I think I need to stick to 4445 and 4446 as they are mentioned with the Gremica hubs, although I thought the Motor Morini hub was Grimeca. nothing seems ever straight forward lol. any input welcome. what price should I expect to pay for a good rim, and do second hand polish up OK. picture attached of the Motor Morini rim I have.

What imports is not the make of the drum, but it's diameter and diameter of the rim. That, will determine spoke angle I should think.

Borranis polish up very well. You can polish out scratches within reason.
