Bosch Headlamp Shell Paint ?

Anyone recommend a suitable paint to refinish my triple headlamp shell ?  Not looking for concours just to look close to the original.

I have a vague memory of a crinkle-finish black paint being suitable, sold by Harley dealers.
Probably not cheap then!

Hi you can buy the crinkle finish paint from some classic car shops the dash on some of the MGs was done with this stuff.

for reference, this is the result I just got with VHT Wrinkle-Plus;

slightly coarse w.r.t. my own headlight shell example, but not miles off. Lighter coats give a tighter wrinkle reducing to none.

Spray some normal black satin over the top - may soften the finish just nicely.

I added a coat to the back of that battery box as a test, and yurp, that works a treat!  Photo fail, but the light extra layer of satin blk brought the finish pretty damn close to the triple headlight shell (well my one from 1981 at least).

when the prices of triples started to rise i thought they might be worth more as the bike than parts not sure the way prices for bits are going now i think we are catching up with ducrapi parts fast.

Several Ducrapis use the same headlight shell.
Maybe the Ducatisti are having a feeding frenzy on the underpriced Laverda parts that are common.
