Boyer Brandsen question

G'day all,

I have just discovered that my newly acquired series 2 Jota has Boyer Brandsen electronic ignition fitted (since 1997, if I am reading the date code on the boxes right).
It has 2 red boxes, one on each side. To be fair, it start very well and idles beautifully.

What is the collective wisdom on Boyer Brandsen? Take it off and fit a Witt DMC 2?

dont let the battery voltage drop the boyer is not good with low voltage

I have said it in the past and I will say it again, in my 42 years of Laverda ownership, I have been lucky enough to sample literally thousands of twins and triples with quite a few singles as well (but never a 6) the very fstets twin was euipeed with a Todd Boyer igntion and idles perfectly and the very fast (and I do mean fast, I was having trouble keeping my helmet on my head) triple also had one and did the same.No frills wanted or needed, stick with it.
