Braided cable sleeving

I'm cleaning up and repairing a few bits on my wiring loom at the moment. I've found sources for most  bits I need but I've drawn a blank on the fabric braided sleeving that covers the neutral switch cable and the ignition pick up cables.

I can find lots of places for the modern plastic stuff but not the fabric type. Any ideas for suppliers in the UK?

Also, I know the ignition cable sleeving is red, but the neutral cable sleeve is so crudded up on mine I cant tell what colour its meant to be- natural/beige, I think

Do certain colours work better than others?

look at vehicle wiring products , got a lot of stuff from them including braided sleeving for my tribsa project

Connecting black wires to the battery post with the big + sign on it doesn't work too well , so I guess black is a bad colour for wires.

Use shrink fit?
Unless you think a lot of obsessional paranoiacs are going to spend a lot of time under your motor.
Neutral switch often doesn't work anyway and is just a concession to 70s bikers hesitating between a Honda and a Laverda.

We use a high temp braided sleeves for silicone coated wires at work, will see if I can find out where it comes from. It's baby-shit brown, is that OK?

I got my 6mm braided fibre glass stuff from Farnell:

Baby shit brown's fine that's what colour it is now.
There are actually plenty of expandable braided sleeves available here including Nomex Flameshield which would more than do the job. I just thought someone might have known what they original stuff was and where it came from.
Would be interesting to know what your work sleeving is, though.
