I need to change my four pot Brembos brake pads, can anyone please tell me the correct and best pads to fit.

Thanks Lemon

good ones
but dont waste your money on genuine Brembo from moto Mecca, the local car factor has them for about a quarter of the price and they seem fine to me, are you useing the 45mm spaced ones or the 90mm spaced ones (calipers that is) if the latter I have a couple of new unopened sets that are on offer, I can get the correct ones given a day or 4.

Clem not sure as these came on the bike how do I tell which?

     Keith.

As fitted to Zane 750s!

Anyone tried these & the equivalent Carbon Lorraines and willing to express a preference? Need to get pads ordered soon

    8 am please.....

       Keith

lovely, saves me ordering them.

8 am?  :o don't expect conversation until sometime after the day's second coffee

Shaun, what metal grade are the discs made from?
Stainless likes sintered pads but will work with pads designed for cast iron discs, but don't use sintered pads on cast iron discs, too much wear.

Thanks guys thought it was the same as the Zane just needed that number ta Keith.

Shaun

Clutch plates?  Coming up on an oil change...

shoosh, there's a set of them in the near future as well.

Ok, I say near future but I've lived with the clutch occasionally slipping slightly when I'm gieing it laldy since I bought the thing so another wee while isn't going to be too taxing

I'm going for a set of the Kevlar ones with lighter springs and probably a Firestorm master cylinder.  My fingers are knacking me so I'm going to try and lighten things off a wee bit.

Shaun,

I can recommend Lucas racing ceramic/kevlar pads on stainless discs.  Bite is fierce and instant, wet braking extremely controllable.  Need sticky tyres though... :D

Piet.

Cheers ,Look the business, maybe when my budget allows though when you need two sets at ?100 each and i m no Rob Lawton :D

Shaun

Shaun,

Remember paying around 30-35? for a set, makes 70?for the front.  Don't want them at the rear... although the puny rear brake might even start working with them!
