Brembo caliper adapters

If you're going to all this trouble , has anyone thought of adaptors to mount radial calipers to Ceriani or Marzos ? BTW I find this thread super interesting, some very clever work going on, hence the question

Costs come into this for the less is more brigade.my redial master was cheap enough but i bet radial callipers would not be a cheap option.

The benefit with going for radial calipers is that there will be more options available, and any newer design improvements. Per se they will not give better braking performance. When Jeremy Burgess was asked about them he said that they were introduced to made it easier to change disc sizes on the GP bikes. Of course then every road bike had to have them. As such they would be handy for altering disc size for us. Has anybody seen adapters for them?

Because we all swap disc sizes between the dash to the ice cream parlour and the afternoon hoon through the hills, radial calipers are surely the "must have" we've all been waiting for. ;)

Excellent idea for bikes performing on the world championship stages where each track throws different challenges in regard to braking. Even OK for manufacturers offering different disc sizes within a production model range, cuts their costs and boosts their margins even further by using standardised caliper mounts... the beauties of fashion.

@ Lee, adapters are on offer for the more modern bikes.

... I am sure there are cheaper ways to bend your Ceriani or Marzocchi forks!
Ciao, Gert
A little truth in that - anyone would think twin 08 Brembos and 280s were akin to a worn out drum brake! They might not have the one finger squeal the front tyre of a modern bike, but it wasn't hard to make it squeal with a little more force! And as discussed, not hard to alter the lever ratio and make them even easier to squeal all you want.

A good quality modern master cylinder of axial or radial configuration will certainly make those old FO8’s work a lot harder than you think is possible. Just need to spend a bit of cash to get a big improvement in braking performance.

Sounds reasonible!

I wonder about the costs of producing a set of adapters.
May be crude design or sophisticated, any major difference there?
Ideas?
