Hello all, has anyone got a use for a brand new Bridgestone Battlax BT46 front tyre - 19" rim size. I bought a pair of rBridgestones from a tyre company for my SF750 not realising that the pair of tyres they listed where in fact an 18" rear and a 19" front

Obviously I don't need a 19" front tyre and have had to replace it - costing £98.00, so |I am tryinjg to get my money back, the supplier (or total bastards as I now refer to them) refused to take it back and swap it

Absolutely brand new, I am in Cheshire but can get it shipped most places for smallish sum

Best offer secures, I am just trying to recoup my money not profit - don't know of a Lav with a 19 inch front wheel but imagine only having one bike - didn't think so !!

Can't help you there but interested to know the difference between a BT45 and BT46.

For the monolingual anglophones:

"With the Bridgestone BT-45, the Japanese tyre manufacturer hit the bull's-eye,
because the BT45 not only ensured stable straight-line stability even at high speeds,
but its design also convinced lovers of classic motorbikes. The BT45 was and is an ideal touring tyre.
With its popular design, the motorbike tyre was also attractive for many older motorbikes and
numerous approvals were available. 22 years after its launch, Bridgestone replaces the BT45 with the BT46.
The new Bridgestone BT46 also fits well with the classics
The new bias-ply touring tyre features an inverted V-shape in the tread pattern of the front tyre.
The Battlax BT46 is designed to prevent irregular wear and improve handling. The rear tyre is reinforced
with a newly adapted silica compound. Bridgestone promises more grip and higher mileage here.
Wet performance has been improved over the BT45 without compromising the well-known dry handling
performance and wear resistance of its predecessor. And the BT46 is compatible with UM applications: tubeless
designated tyres are approved for mounting on tubular rims when used with a tube.
The Bridgestone BT46 will be available in 21 sizes for the front axle and 27 sizes for the rear axle.
Ten main sizes will be launched in January 2020, followed shortly after by the launch of the full portfolio.
Classic bike fans can breathe a sigh of relief, the new tread also cuts a fine figure on old machines."

I'm waiting for the 'V' rated 110/90 front to become available.

How can a tyre retailer sell you a set of tyres that are clearly (well, half of the pair) NOT and NEVER WERE a std fitment on ANY Laverda and then refuse to take the wrong one back and replace it with the right one????!!!! 😡😡😡

Isn't that what consumer protection agencies are for?

Rotation direction has been reversed for the BT46 front tyre, possibly an effort to reduce the uneven wear.

Reckon Fitz bought a generic listed set, not realising a 19" was included (MkIII Commando comes to mind!). Basically, his fault, but still stubborn of the dealer to not swap it for the correct required tyre. Should be part of "customer relations" effort. I wouldn't buy again there either...

Yes I only Bridgestones after talking to one my racing mates from the BHR, he has used them on a beemer for years and reckons that they are the best wet weather tyre out there, very stable and lots of grip, unlike myself who is very unstable and no grip whatsoever, and yest I should have checked the sizes, my fault entirely or shoudl I say enTYREly

Why did Pirelli quit making the Radial 18" 100 and 120 Rayon Belted Super Comps's: WHY- WHY- WHY ;o(

I had to replace them Pirelli's with BT Bias 45's 110/130's and my Breganzie went CLUMSY - But I had no alternative - Perhaps I should have went Avon or Dunlop or even Continental ?
