Bridgestone BT46 - Anyone tried them yet? Any good?

Fitted a couple to customer bikes, good feedback so far.

Too much rubber left on my own bikes, waiting to try them myself, after being rather disappointed by the Conti Attak-something.

I just ordered a BT46 for my 1200TS rear - it will replace a BT45.

Re Conti Road Attack 3s - I have them on my SFC1000 and love them, wouldn't hesitate to get them again.  Can't speak for wet weather performance, but in the dry I find she tracks beautifully and feels solid as a rock

Just ordered conti road attack 3 for bretts RGS, what didn?t you like about it Piet?  Brett wants to try a radial. 110/80-18.

Sort of a vague feel at the front of the RGS, nowhere near as confindence-inspiring as the BT45.  I tried different pressures, no great differences.  After 4000km, it does remain a bit nimbler, like a fresh BT45, sort of.  Still vague in fast corners and under hard braking, though.  Tread is showing slight saw-toothing too, just like the BTs!.  Wet-weather performance is about on par with the BT.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

I was a fan of the BT45 - a good all rounder, with (for me) a nice feeling of connection with the road, combined with suppleness in the ride. It's all subjective of course, but I liked 'em a lot, especially the confidence I found in the front end.

I did suffer the typical cupping wear pattern, despite trying various pressures. The marketing blurb from Bridgestone acknowledges this and say they have put in counter measures for BT46.

I will give them a twirl.

My tyre man tells me the 65V and 56V versions are in fact radials. Therefore cannot mix V and H versions. I asked him to check this info with Bridgestone.
Apparently this is true for BT46 and also for Pilot Activs.

Just put a set on the wife guzzi breva and although wet and not scrubbed in they felt great and give you confidence. Also put some on my bm r80st but not tried yet.

No mention of this anywhere on the Bridgestone website.

I'm a bit pissed that the 3.50-18 front has been discontinued, although the 4.00 rear is still being offered.
