Brilliant Gadget

It's not going to do much good for the tap filters or the cap seal, is it?
Apart from a dedicated motorcyle paint shop, it's never going to justify its price.

"You’re overthinking it mate, just chuck a handful of 10mm gravel into the tank, wrap the tank in towels and chuck it in the tumble dryer."

A while back, I was contemplating this. The best tap replacements are thin plastic mastic gun nipples and one of those generic Fuel caps, also made of plastic. These Silico Gun nipples are ver wedge like very wedge-like. It used to be said either a Concrete mixer or a Clothes dryer lined with a blanket if the tank fits inside those. The easiest failure doing tank lining or cleaning is in not doing this long enough; that gadget could go for days.

Threw in two double hand full of really sharp an new "Spacks" screws and tumbled it by hand several times over a week. Removed 98% of the rust... Rest was done with a liquid rost converter. Afterwards washed out several times with a soapy water, then with clear water, let it dry 2 weeks in the room where my house heater was (roughly 28°C all day...) and afterwards coated the inside with Kreem White. That was 20 years ago, still no sign of rust.

The device above is a great thing. However, how many tanks do you do? Do you need a device to do the tumbling? Not sure, my tank would fit into my clothes dryer, but for sure my wife would kill me if I tried...

All you need is a battery charger, do an electrolysis to get rid of the rust.
Then you can it roasted mutton at the same time.
