Building a race bike

One inspector said to me once “Look, you’re doing fuck-all miles and you’re mechanical enough to keep the old girl running, obviously you’re not going to turn up here with a duff machine!” I didn’t point out how many miles I was actually doing 😉
Same here with the DEKRA (alternative organisation to the TÜV). I go there since 15 years or so and they keep record of the millage of every vehicle. Last two times I brought my wife's Vespa there, they looked at the counter, saw something like 30 km added in 2 years and simply put a new sticker on the number plate "what should have happened in 2 years and only 30 km, right?" Right!

Very quick and short update.
Head is away for laser welding and scanning etc.
Crankcase is having the oil new pump mounting pad built up with laser weld to allow a simpler and more leak resistant mounting operation.
Frame and other bits have been Kephos coated, Swing arm coated and painted Orange, So some things done but just short of time with work.
Am trying to find time to build the frame up ready for the engine.
Meantime I am trying to restore/build my Landrover110. and keep the other bikes in good running / riding condition.
And run the company.

Best regards,
Jules
