Any engineering brains here can specify how much interference should be between SF camshaft (15mm) and the flange to be "bloody" tight enough?
 
I never measured how much press fit there was but when the flange became loose on my 750GT and I fitted new flanges, it took a hydraulic press to put the new ones on. Thirty years later they are still OK.

I would guess maybe .03mm and no more than .05mm?

Ah, the weak point in the SF ... once they've been off and on again, they seem to be compromised. Interesting the owner's manual specs don't include this.
 
When mine came loose on the racebike I made new flanges so as to increase the interference (and also allow for adjustable timing on both sides to get them spot on to each TDC). I don't recall what I used but might be able to dig it up from somewhere perhaps, however the rule of thumb for a light press fit is 0.1 per 100mm, double that for a tight press fit, that would be 0.03 on 15mm. So I'd concur with @1200ts and say 0.03-0.05.
If the parts are hard and the surface finishes are undamaged after disassembly, there is no theoretical reason why they should 'loosen' since the flange should be well within its elastic range when fitted, but hey ho, stranger things have happened. I think IIRC when my racebike ones worked loose I measured basically size for size after disassembly, hence making the new ones.
