Thanks for your thoughts. I'm still alive, just haven't been doing much or had much to say on the forum. I think I must be in hibernation mode. Couldn't get out on a bike during lockdown. Now that we're allowed to venture out, it's too fuggin cold and wet!
My long-term house mate (old Burmese cat) died a bit over a month ago so I was truly on my own and a bit depressed for a while. He was a friendly little guy who was always happy to meet new people, as anyone who visited here would attest. Even Red took a shine to him, and he claimed he wasn't really a cat person. It was renal failure that finished him at the age of 16, but he'd had a good life. I still miss him.
The house was too empty and miserable without my little mate, so now there's a new cat called Erik. He's a Bengal breed (looks like a little leopard). He's only 7 months old and still a little unsure of his new surroundings, but will settle in soon enough.
