Can't See Avatars / Smilies etc., ?

I cannot see the avatars, smilies etc., All I get are little white boxes with a red cross in top left corner.  If I right click "show pictures" nothing happens.  I am guessing this might be to do with my computer's settings but where to begin looking ?

Seems to work for me...have you tried adding smileys - assuming that it's just the graphics that are missing

Lack of Javascript in your browser?
Or you disbaled it, maybe.

        In advanced settings Javascript shows as enabled ?  I know something is wrong as it works when I log on at lunch (honest ) at work....

Using Internet Explorer - Broadband is wireless but the base PC (this one) is hard wired  - no issue with any other site I use - E bay etc., everything posts as it should except Laverdapedia?
