You should be able to put a spanner or socket if you must on the float valve seat of a VHBA.Thanks but on the Del Lorto VHB 30 A Squareslide there is no fitting for a socket. I don't see anywhere to fit a small socket. Its a rounded brass tube. Just looked under the top Squareslide. Nothing for a socket. The other thing I had my tank redone on the inside.
They used Red Coat Sealant. Would the Redcoat breaking down in the fuel cause needles to stick?

Mea culpa.Well, at least the VHBs as used by Laverda have cast-in/pressed-in float valve seats. I'm guessing the pic that Paul has posted is of a Guzzi version as there is no thread visible where the main jet holder would go in. The Guzzi types have a completely different main jet and atomiser set-up which also houses the accelerator pump.
